I have had many heroes over the years but there are three women who continue to inspire me with their resilience and wisdom. Miriam is one. In one of my previous lives, I was a school teacher and in my first 8th grade class there was an incredible young lady in a wheelchair. Anyone that meets Miriam can see that despite her physical limitations her innate spirit is alive and well and she is as mentally sharp as the rest of us. Fast forward 15 years we are now in touch via Facebook and I have such fun watching Miriam as she continues to live her life, traveling, raising money and inspiring others with her innate strength. A couple of months ago after reading my book Miriam told me the most profound thing and I asked her permission to share it with you guys.
She said,
"People think my challenge is physical, it's not, it's my thinking just like everything else."
